School Aid Romania

In 1991, a year after the Romanian revolution, a group of pupils from across the religious divide traveled to Brasov in the Carpathian Mountains, Romania to take aid to some of the orphanages in the area. The documentary charts that visit .
It was used back in Northern Ireland to encourage other schools to take part in the newly formed Schoolaid Romania scheme. Although the video is now 21 years old, the message is timeless. Sentiments expressed in the programme in no way reflect the modern Romania but  try to honestly reflect what we found at that time.
